With dedication and a keen eye for detail I strive to make the visual narrative a memorable experience.
My name is Stephan, and I'm a colorist based in Hamburg. I specialize in high-end picture finishing for both short and long-form content.
In my experience, a successful color grading is one that serves the visual language and narrative, maintains balance, meets the client’s preferences, and adds value to the production.
As a colorist, I like to work in close collaboration with cinematographers and directors to translate their vision into a visual experience that holds emotion. With twenty years of experience in visual production, I know the ways in which a colorist can support the look and feel of the images with the finishing touches. I can assist the image process and the look development in advance by showing looks and transforms for specific projects and color-managed workflows tailored to the requirements and goals of each individual project.
Many of my projects are created by independent directors, producers and cinematographers who are dedicated to an artistic form of storytelling and with whom I develop creative partnerships.
Since 2016, I've been working with DaVinci Resolve.
